#ProjectSpotlight2021
As the education curriculum is constantly changing and evolving in various ways, Trinity Lutheran College sought to make some changes.
A P-10 school in Mildura, Victoria, the idea is to allow teachers and students to use the spaces in a more flexible manner, creating different spaces for both learning and self study.
The education sector, led by Matthew Moran, is looking to engage with the idea of ‘student choice’ – how and where to work / collaborate. Benchtops bisect inside and outside, with operable windows defining the separation. Carved out nooks create alternative learning spaces or group work niches whilst providing noise reduction. ‘Chill out’ areas between classrooms provide further flexibility for different ways of learning and studying.
The staged works refresh the Mungo and Hattah buildings. A redeveloped courtyard, framed by these two buildings, will become the heart of the school through proposed landscaping and furniture. Design Development was recently completed.
