A Tour Through Sacre Coeur Glen Iris

From its conception, the new home for Art, Design, Science, IT and Library at Sacre Coeur Glen Iris was intended to bridge the gap between the different disciplines through the formation of flexible learning spaces.

Through a master planning exercise, we identified the potential for this new building to link the existing science building and the original heritage building in the centre of the site. The curved form of the building establishes breakout spaces for students to stop and ponder, with opportunities for informal learning and interaction.

The project presents a unique solution to the problems faced by the school within a 21st century building, for a 21st century education, right at the school’s heart.

Hear more about this project from architects, Paul Hede & Rich Austin, in the video developed by the school below.
