The ethos of Bickerton Masters is all about working to benefit vulnerable people, and the Wesley Mission Queensland volunteer night provided an excellent opportunity to serve our constituency face to face and to remind ourselves of the disadvantage that so many in our immediate backyard are struggling with.
The volunteer night runs regular dinners for those in need, and our roles throughout the evening included meal preparation, serving our guests and cleaning up so that the next night it could be done all over again.
To play even a small part as volunteers for the evening was a humbling service that we were grateful to be a part of.
